What was your goal when you originally signed up?

My original goal was to get back into working out so I could lose the 30lbs I’d gained.

How did you originally hear about us?

I heard about SteadFast from a friend who was a member.

What prompted you to seek us out?

I sought out SteadFast because I knew I needed to get my weight gain under control, and I knew I wouldn’t have the motivation to just go to a normal gym. I needed to be able to show up somewhere, have a coach tell me what to do, and know I was getting the best workout possible in that timeframe. I also was drawn to CrossFit because I heard it could be scaled to any level, so it felt like I could come there when I was SO out of shape and the coaches would work with me wherever I was currently at.

How do you feel about your future?

I feel SO hopeful about my future! CrossFit/SteadFast gave me my physical and mental health back, and now even when I have periods of time where I’m not in the gym as much as I’d like (when I’m working or traveling a lot), I know it’s always there for me to come back to. Plus I’ve learned so many tools that I can use outside of the gym too – lifestyle tools, workout tools, etc. I know it’s all in my control and I always have my CrossFit family to lean on.

What have you liked best about working with us?

I love the SteadFast community! I have dropped in to so many other boxes as I travel, and nowhere compares to the feeling I have at SteadFast. I’ve made some of my best friends there, and I know without a doubt that the entire community has my back. It’s the most encouraging, uplifting, welcoming atmosphere!

What would you say to anyone else who might be interested in starting at SteadFast?

Don’t feel like you need to get in shape before you start CrossFit. It’s not meant only for fit people – it’s meant for anyone who wants to take care of their mental and physical health in the atmosphere of a supportive community. Every workout can be scaled, and the coaches are there to help you achieve YOUR goals – you don’t need to worry about what anyone else is doing. Just show up, put the work in, and watch all the positive changes happen in your life.
