What was your goal when you originally signed up?
I think just to be more active in general. I played intramural sports some in college but that’s about all the exercise I ever got. Now I can’t go a few days without feeling too lazy.
How did you originally hear about us?
My sister worked for SteadFast and wouldn’t stop talking about CrossFit and how great it was. Finally one day she convinced me to go with her to a Saturday class. I got light headed, dizzy, and almost passed out during the warmup. Those med ball cleans tho..
What prompted you to seek us out?
After my failed Saturday class I didn’t go back for about a month because I convinced myself CrossFit just wasn’t for me. After some more convincing from my sister and now Brian and Sabrina, I decided to give it another try for real and realized it was something I could actually do and enjoy doing!
How do you feel about your future?
Excited! 3 years in I feel like I am constantly improving and learning new things about my body and all the really cool stuff I never thought I was capable or strong enough to do.
What have you liked best about working with us?
The motivation I receive daily from a group of people I didn’t even know when I started. And the confidence I’ve gained in being someone I thought I’d never be and in doing things I thought I could never do.
What would you say to anyone else who might be interested in starting at SteadFast?
To just give it a try and see what you think! Maybe you’ll love it right away, or maybe it will take you a month to change your mind, but either way you’ll probably love it. It’s something fun and empowering that anyone can do!
