What was your goal when you originally signed up?

I had been spending my time working out by running on a treadmill/spin bike and a little weights, and honestly, I didn’t know what to do with weights to be efficient, and always thought I wasn’t strong enough to workout with a barbell or heavier weights. I never enjoyed the “cardio” work, it was just all I knew to do when going into a gym. I wanted to learn more technique, to be efficient, and to move well without injury and was drawn to the barbell work that is part of CrossFit.

How did you originally hear about us?

I heard of CrossFit in general through a friend, then we did a search and I found SteadFast on google maps, it was close to where I was living at the time.

What prompted you to seek us out?

I was bored with what I was doing at anytime fitness, and I wasn’t going. I wanted fitness to be a part of my life but needed some accountability, as well as coaching and had a lot to learn about how to fitness in general. I heard about CrossFit through a friend and thought it would be a good way to learn some technique, maybe meet some people, and get back into a regular routine or exercise.

How do you feel about your future?

Good! The goal now is to keep strength and flexibility as I get older. I like to be able to keep my endurance up for long hikes, as well as just feeling strong in general. I spent most of my early 20s feeling like I couldn’t do so many things, I still have a ways to go, but I feel I’ve already come pretty far. The goal now is longevity, and feeing strong moving forward.

What have you liked best about working with us?

I am the kind of person who needs accountability, and every time I have gone rouge for a month or two there’s always someone to help me set new goals of showing up on a regular basis once I get back in. The encouragement and support has been constant. I trust the programming and how anytime I ask for help modifying for my individual goals, you are right there to help.

What would you say to anyone else who might be interested in starting at SteadFast?

Its a great place for community, support of your individual goals, and all-around programming. If you go on a regular basis, they cover it all, the only thing you need to worry about is showing up!
